What Field Music Notes stores, which is almost nothing, and how to write about a privacy question.

Field Music Notes is a set of static pages. It has no account, no newsletter, no comment form and no advertising. Reading a page does not require identifying yourself and there is nothing on the site that asks you to sign in.
What is stored
The site itself sets no cookie and writes nothing to your device. The pages are served by a content delivery network, which keeps the ordinary technical logs that any web server keeps: the time of a request, the address requested, the result, and the network address the request came from. Those logs are used to keep the site working and to understand how many people read it, and they are not used to build a profile of a reader or to sell anything to anyone.
Links to other places
A piece may link to a library catalogue, an archive, a museum or the site of an ensemble or a publisher, so that a reader can check the evidence for themselves. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else's site and their rules apply, not these. The desk does not control those pages and does not receive anything from them.

Write to contact@southern-horizon.com with the word privacy in the subject line. If a question is about a page that names a person, the desk answers it, corrects the page where the record supports a correction, and explains in the piece what was changed.
